Oluranti Doherhty

Oluranti Doherty graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and a Masters Degree in Finance from the University of Leicester in 2016. Oluranti currently works as the Manager of Project Finance / Export Development for the African Export-Import Bank. Mrs. Doherty has 16 years of experience working in her profession and manages application for 6 African countries. During her studies at the University of Leicester, Oluranti was awarded Distinction for her Master’s thesis which received the highest score of her graduating class (2016). Growing up Mrs. Doherty was always interested in numbers and this passion was amplified after realizing she could use this skill to help the less fortunate and improve the life of others in Africa and her home country of Nigeria. In the near future Oluranti plans to begin working on her Doctoral degree and see’ she herself teaching later on in life so she could pass along the knowledge she has obtained to the younger generation. Mrs. Doherty credits her success to her hard work, determination, love for what she does and the excellent education she obtained through the University of Leicester which elevated her career. Throughout her professional career, Oluranti is most proud of her current position at the African Export-Import Bank and the improvements she has brought to the bank. Oluranti Doherty is a well educated, hard working individual who will continue to make a positive impact on Africa and all its countries. Oluranti hopes to take advantage of all of the benefits that come along with being a member of the International Alumni Association. She looks forward to networking and collaborating with other professionals.
