Ms. Kaushal Shah

Kaushal Shah is the Head of Corporate Communication at Africa Health Business, a Nairobi based boutique consulting firm that aims to improve access to equitable healthcare in Africa. She has 10 years of experience in the healthcare advisory space. Prior to her role at Africa Health Business, Kaushal was the Global Head of Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare at Fitch Solutions in the UK, aiding Fortune 500 companies gain deeper insights into the healthcare space and thereby manage their risks better.

 

Kaushal has worked with governments, local and multinational drug companies, medical device producers, hospital chains, pharmaceuticals and healthcare industry associations, consultancies, private equity firms and investment banks. Kaushal’s expertise lies in frontier and emerging economies and the analysis of major supply and demand side themes affecting the healthcare sector – including market access barriers, the epidemiological landscape, healthcare reform development and implementation, medicine pricing and reimbursement policies, intellectual property and the landscape for generic and patented medicines.

 

Kaushal received her bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Nottingham and a MSc in Management at Cass Business School, in the UK. Besides her role at Africa Health Business, Kaushal is a certified nutritionist – a role that grew out her lifelong passion for health, the science of nutrition and overall wellness.
