Dr. Kanyenje Gakombe

Dr. K. K Gakombe is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Metropolitan Hospitals Limited. He is also a Director and Systems Architect at Alliance Management Systems. Before joining Metropolitan Hospital, he was the Managing Director
at Investment Management Limited. He is a Member; National Economic & Social Council (NESC), Chairman, Kenya Association of Hospitals.

 

In addition to his career at Metropolitan Hospital, Dr. Gakombe has been involved in other roles. He was instrumental in the initiation and development of the Standard Service Agreement and Claim form between Association of Kenya Insurers and Kenya Association of Hospitals adopted in October 2006. He also helped in the design and development of the hospital management software known as AMS 2000 currently in use in Metropolitan and several other hospitals in Kenya.

 

He holds a Masters in Business Administration in Strategic Management and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from the University of Nairobi.
