Maria Sol Pintos Castro
Maria Sol Pintos Castro, is the Senior Manager of the Private Sector Engagement Department at the Global Fund. She leads and manages the work on philanthropic engagement, focusing on major multi-stakeholder’s partnerships with leading consumer marketing initiatives, faith-based organizations, trusts and foundations, corporations and HNWIs. (RED), Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), Comic Relief, Rotary, FIFA Foundation are among her top accounts, with each bringing millions each year to support the work of the Global Fund.
Working closely with technical agencies, Sol is also involved in building and developing innovative strategic partnerships for health in countries where the Global Fund invests. Sol has worked at the Global Fund for over 10 years in various positions, including as an Innovative Financing Officer responsible for developing the Global Fund’s debt conversion initiative, Debth2Heath (D2H). She currently serves on the Fund for the Global Fund’s Board of Directors
