Dr. Sanele Listen Mandlenkosi Madela is the founder and CEO of Expectra 868 Health Solutions, a non-government organization (NGO) in South Africa focused on community health work. Expectra 868 aims to address the health disparities faced by the South African communities especially previously disadvantaged, uninsured population living in rural areas. He is the Principal Investigator on the HealthRise Project sponsored by Medtronic Foundation, currently being implemented in uMgungundlovu, Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa
Dr Madela is a two-time award winner of the MEC’s Annual Service Excellence Awards in the KZN province for his contribution to the community based medical education and advocacy of primary health care. He was part of the KZN delegation that went to Angola to research a community-based medical school in 2015.
Dr Madela holds a Degree in Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Instituto Superior de sciencias Medicas de Villa Clara in Cuba.
