Biography

Public Health Professional with multi-disciplinary background in medicine, international public health, tropical medicine and business administration and ten (10) years’ experience in designing and implementing health systems focused women’s, children’s and adolescents’ health interventions at sub national, national and regional/international levels.

I currently work at the East African Community as the Principal Health Systems and Policy Analysis Officer. I primarily coordinate regional cooperation in Reproductive Maternal Newborn Child and Adolescent Health and Nutrition. Other health systems initiatives that I coordinate and or support include the EAC Regional Centers of Excellence for higher medical and health sciences education, research and training; harmonization of regulation of training, practice of health professionals; and mainstreaming of Multi-sectoral Population Health and Environment (PHE) and One Health Approach into relevant regional and national Policies, Programs and Plans of the Respective Sectors.
