In case of emergencies, or for first-aid service during the conference, please contact the staff at the registration desk or the hotel reception.

Visas & Passports

It is the responsibility of the participant to review his/her visa status and determine whether they need a visa or visa renewal for entering the country where the conference is hosted.

Please note that passport and visa requirements are liable to change at short notice. Travellers are therefore advised to check their entry requirements with their embassy or consulate.

All visitors must either hold a return or onward ticket and all documents for next destination. Passports must be valid for at least three months on entry; however, it is highly recommended that passports have at least six months’ validity remaining after your intended date of departure from your travel destination as immigration officials sometimes apply different rules to those stated by travel agents and official sources.

Transport/ Taxi

The Léopold Sédar Senghor International Airport is less than 20 minutes’ drive from the hotel. Both taxis and car rental agencies are available at the airport, so you have several easy options for getting into the city. For more information please visit: https://www.aeroport-dakar.com/

Taxis are the easiest way of getting around town. They are recognizable by their yellow and black colour. They do not have a taximeter and any ride outside Dakar must be negotiated with the driver before entering the vehicle. The official taxi rates for trips from Léopold Sédar Senghor International Airport are put up outside the airport. Don’t pay more. For more information please visit:

Car rental

Car rental agencies represented at the airport include Hertz, National, Avis and Senegal Auto. For more information please visit: https://www.aeroport-dakar.com/taxis_car_rental_parking_dakar_airport.php

All delegates are responsible for their accommodation unless otherwise specified. The AHBS II homepage outlines the negotiated rates with various hotels, and should be booked directly with the hotel.
