Dear Speaker,

Below is a list of pertinent logistical guidelines for your convenience, for the symposium:

Visas

Tourist visas can be obtained on arrival at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta international Airport.  The following nationals will require visas before arrival: Cameroon, Senegal, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Iraq, Mali, North Korea, Somalia, Syria, Tajikistan, Lebanon, Palestine, Eritrea, Libya.

Visas cost US$50/€40/UK£30 and are valid for three months from the date of entry.

Visa Letters

For purposes of on-arrival visa applications, should you still require a visa letter from AHBS, please contact us at your earliest. If you have already received a visa letter from us, kindly confirm that your names and other information is correct and as reflected in your passport.

2.   Airport pickups

Upon arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will find suitable taxis available for local transportation to your hotel. The official yellow taxis are the safest and most economical mode of transport. Should you require additional assistance, we will have an AHBS concierge desk at Terminal 1A.

3.   General Information

Mobile Phones:

International call rates from Kenya are relatively expensive. Local SIM cards are widely available and can be used in most international mobile phones. Mobile coverage is extensive. At Safari Park Hotel, local SIM cards are available at the boutique shop by the reception.

Local Currency
